Liberalism

In an article on liberalism in Western politics, John Pilger quotes Madeleine Albright, the former US Secretary of State in Bill Clinton's liberal administration:

“If we have to use force, it is because we are America. We are the indispensable nation. We stand tall. We see further into the future.”

Pilger comments: How succinctly she defines modern, violent liberalism.

Please do not think that this opinion is all of the American people, it is far from it.

I'm under no illusion that it's the opinion of all American people, and I'm grateful that it's not. However, there is a tendency within the American leadership, and beyond, to think that America has some God-given right to lead the rest of the world. The rest of the world isn't so impressed by this idea! :)
